LJ's Movers & Shakers 2009

Library Journal has just released "Movers & Shakers 2009: The People Shaping the Future of Libraries."  The list includes innovative librarians, vendors and others who represent the coming generation of library leadership.  Seven Californians made the list for 2009, bringing the total to 29 California honorees since 2002.  This year's list includes Lisa Harris, Jail Literacy Manager for Alameda County Library ( http://www.libraryjournal.com/MS2009Inductee/2140335980.html ), and Carey Gross, a literacy legend in Butte County ( http://www.libraryjournal.com/MS2009Inductee/2140336000.html ).  Both are considered champions for literacy by California Library Literacy Services (CLLS), a program of the California State Library that supports library literacy programs statewide.  For more information about CLLS, visit http://libraryliteracy.org/   Check out the full list of Movers & Shakers at:  http://www.libraryjournal.com/MS2009 .
