Reminder: On Tuesday, June 24, from noon to 1 pm, the Early Learning with Families @ Your Library – ELF initiative will sponsor a live webcast on supporting parents in effective ways. Join Cindy Oser and Leticia Lara from Zero to Three, as they share their insights and experience in working with parents and building family relationships that enhance early learning. Discover the benefits of engaging parents in programs as well as some practical approaches that address issues faced by librarians who serve families with young children.
More information and the link to the webcast can be found at http://www.elflibraries.org/training/web-events
The webcast also will be recorded, with the archive available for viewing the following day at the URL above.
Important Technical Note:
The California State Library is using a new vendor for the June 24 webcast. Please look for these key new features:
1) Contacting the presenter. Formerly, you would type your questions into a chat room on screen. With this new approach, you will use email to send in questions and comments. Just click on the “Email Presenter” link right underneath the video window.
2) Requesting technical assistance. Instead of typing your support request into a chat area, you can now get help over the telephone. Just call (562) 856-4750.
In order to view the webcast, you will need RealPlayer installed on your computer. For more information, see the “Note to Webcast Viewers” at the bottom of the webcast event page:
