San Francisco's Measure D, a renewal of the Library Preservation Fund set to expire in FY 2008-09, has won with a 74.44% positive vote based on unofficial results released on November 12th.  Election officials predict it will be up to two weeks until an official count is accomplished. Proposition D is a Charter Amendment that would renew the Fund for 15 years, with monies for the Fund coming from the same annual property tax set-aside. Money from the Fund would continue to provide library services and materials and operate the main library and 27 branch libraries.
