Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger appoints Deputy State Librarian

The following announcement is from the Office of the Governor:

Stacey Aldrich, 37, of Omaha, NE, has been appointed deputy state librarian. She has served as assistant director of the Omaha Public Library in Omaha, Nebraska since 2005. Previously, Aldrich worked for the Division of Library Development and Services under the Maryland State Department of Education from 1996 to 2005 holding the positions of branch chief of public libraries and the state networking branch and public library consultant. Prior to joining the Maryland State Department of Education, she served as an information technology librarian for the Hood College Library in Frederick, Maryland from 1992 to 1996. This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $92,652. Aldrich is a Republican.
