California State Library accepting 2007/08 Early Learning with Families @ Your Library applications

The California State Library is accepting grant application for the 2007/08 Early Learning with Families (ELF) @ Your Library initiative. The ELF initiative supports libraries developing innovative ways to serve the needs of families with very young children.

2007/08 ELF funds are available through two grant application options: 1) continuing grants, open to the thirty-nine participating and advisory ELF libraries, due May 4, 2007, OR 2) mini-grants, open to any library new to implementing early learning concepts, up to a total of 20 libraries, due June 4, 2007.  Click directly on http://www.library.ca.gov/html/lsta_app_07_08.cfm on the California State Library website for program guidelines and application forms for both the continuing grants and the first year mini-grants.

For more information on the ELF initiative, please contact Suzanne Flint at the California State Library at 916-651-9796 or sflint@library.ca.gov.
