The Institute of Museum and Library Services, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts, announced October 31 the grant winners for the Big Read program. Five California organizations received funding. California’s Big Read grantees are: County of Los Angeles Public Library; Fresno County Library; Montalvo Arts Center; National Steinbeck Center; and Peninsula Library System.
The Big Read program encourages literary reading by asking communities to come together to read and discuss one book.
